Peace Treaties
The following slides talk about the peace treaties that were formed as a result of WW1 and Germany's defeat. The major Treaty discussed was the Treaty of Versailles which is talked about in the next lesson.
Below is a brief description on what each country wanted from a Peace Treaty. The four countries discussed are France, USA, Italy and Britain.
The following slide discusses what peace treaties were formed for what countries. Perhaps useful to research these for activity 1?
Activity 1
In groups or if you are studying - by yourself discuss what each country wanted out of a peace treaty I have given you a few of each country on the previous slides but there are many more. Ideally work in four groups and take a country each. Draw up a diagram like the one below and fill it out. When you have finished, share your information with the rest of the class so everyone has the same information. This is extremely useful when studying for exams.
Activity 2
Watch the documentary below on the 'Paris Peace Conference'. Answer the following questions.
ž1 - What was the aim of the Paris Peace Conference?
ž2 - Who were the key figures at the Paris Peace Conference and what were each of them after for their country?
